Jacob Fowler deserves more starts for the Canadiens
Hours after being recalled from the AHL, goaltender Jacob Fowler made an immediate impact for the Montreal Canadiens, stopping 32 shots in a 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators Wednesday night. Fowler, who only made his NHL debut last December, has been arguably the Canadiens’ best goaltender, posting a 5-4-2 record with a .906 save percentage (SV%) and a 5-on-5 goals saved above expected (GSAx) of 5.5 in 11 appearances.
