Willamette slips past Central men’s tennis squad

PELLA — The Central College men’s tennis team could not find the fourth point needed in a narrow 4-3 loss to Willamette University (Ore.) Monday. Central (1-10) started strong by taking two out of three doubles matches for the doubles point. Bodi Kortz (freshman, Wormerveer, Netherlands/St. Michael College ) and Alex Slaymaker (Junior, Geneseo, Ill. won a thrilling 7-6 No. 1 match. The No. 2 tandem of Ernest Alvarez Chedzoy (junior, Kerrville, Texas, Tivy HS) and Gavin Jablonski (junior, Marshalltown) were victorious 6-4.
