Grant, Smith Honored by America East

BOSTON - The University at Albany track and field's Lalenii Grant and Skyler Smith have been honored by the America East Conference, announced Tuesday. A native of Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago, Lalenii Grant competed in two events at the USF Alumni Invitational - shot put and discus throw. Throwing for a personal record in the discus throw, she improved upon her second-best-in-program-history mark from last season. After a full weekend of competition in the nation, Grant's throw (56.81m, 186-4) is ranked third in the nation and first in the Northeast.
