Sounders rise to third in Concacaf Club Rankings

Fresh off beating the Vancouver Whitecaps in Concacaf Champions Cup play, the Seattle Sounders have moved all the way up to No. 3 in the region’s club ranking system. This appears to be the highest the Sounders have ever reached in that index. The Sounders gained 18 points since the last time the rankings were published, which presumably covers both games against the Whitecaps as well as the road win over the San Jose Earthquakes and road tie against Minnesota United.
