Grinnell off to red-hot start at Wartburg men’s golf invite

Results WAVERLY, Iowa – It was an impressive performance by the Grinnell College men’s golf team, to say the least, on the opening day of the Wartburg Spring Invite Saturday. Behind Spencer Moody’s ’29 tourney-leading round of 2-under-par 70, Grinnell shot out to a runner-up spot in the team standings at Prairie Links. Moody’s steady round consisted of four birdies as he holds a one-shot lead in the field of 96. As a team, Grinnell is tied with Upper Iowa for second place at 297.
