Mines Drops Opener to #3 Colorado Mesa

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Mines baseball dropped its series opener to #3-ranked Colorado Mesa Friday by a score of 16-0. Brody Duvall had a single and Tyler Pina hit a double for Mines (9-18, 6-7 RMAC). Oredigger starting pitcher Jackson Kay (2-1) and the Mines defense held Colorado Mesa (27-3, 13-0 RMAC) through three innings as well. In the end, CMU scored four runs in the fourth, two in the fifth, and 10 in the sixth to force a run-rule victory.
