Gonzalez wins first career Athlete of the Week

Kingsville - In his collegiate decathlon debut, Texas A&M-Kingsville men's track and field freshman Christopher Gonzalez had a standout performance, earning him the first Lone Star Conference Field Athlete award of his career. Gonzalez posted a 6266 in the decathlon at Angelo St.'s David Noble Relays last weekend in San Angelo. Not only is the score the 10th-best in school history, but it's also the sixth-best in the nation so far this year.
