Women’s Golf Earns First At Greenbrier Invitational

White Sulfur Springs, W.Va. — The University of Lynchburg women’s golf team took home the title from the Greenbrier Intercollegiate Women’s Invitational, hosted by Southern Virginia University on Monday and Tuesday of this week. The Hornets held strong atop the leaderboard on both days of the tournament and ultimately solidified the win by five strokes over second-place SVU. Marymount, Wittenberg, and Transylvania rounded out the top five in that respective order. Three Lynchburg performers earned spots in the top five of the overall individual standings. Grace Saunders led the way with a second-place finish, completing the tournament at +9 strokes.…
