Alukunyang Races to Weekly MEAC Recognition

NORFOLK, Va. – In his collegiate debut, Aaron Alukunyang of North Carolina Central's men's track and field team earned MEAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors, announced by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference on Wednesday afternoon. Alukunyang (Iten, Kenya) competed in two events for the Eagles at the VertKlasse Meeting on April 2-3. The freshman opened with a strong performance in the men's 1,500m, placing seventh with a time of 3:54.25.
