Baseball Uses Six-Run Eighth to Power Past Adelphi

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University Baseball flipped the game in the late innings, using a decisive eighth-inning surge to defeat Adelphi University, 8-4, on Wednesday afternoon at Peter X. Finnerty Field. The Setters stayed within striking distance early before delivering a six-run frame to take control, improving to 13-15 overall and 8-9 in the Northeast 10 Conference (NE10). Adelphi struck first in the second inning and added another in the fifth to build a 2-0 lead. The Panthers extended the advantage to 3-0 in the sixth, putting the Setters in a three-run hole entering the final third of the game....
