Crosshill athlete wins Maps Credit Union boys Athlete of the Week
Crosshill Christian baseball player Johan Phillips is the winner of the Maps Credit Union high school boys Athlete of the Week, as voted by Statesman Journal readers. A sophomore, Phillips had a team-high three hits and three RBIs March 31 in the Eagles' 10-0 win over East Linn Christian. Phillips received 64.56% of the reader poll votes. Blanchet Catholic track and field athlete James Barnett was second (32.64%). Here are the other nominees.
