CLEVELAND, Miss. — The Delta State men’s tennis team secured a 4-3 victory over Montevallo on Thursday at Cleveland Country Club, winning four of six singles matches to overcome a deficit after doubles play. The Statesmen (10-9, 2-5 GSC) dropped the doubles point, as Montevallo claimed wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Delta State’s lone doubles victory came from Alejandro Bravo and Simon Ojeda , who earned a 6-2 win at the No. 2 position against the 49th ranked doubles team in the nation.
