Dasset Becomes SLC Men’s Tennis Newcomer of the Year, Team Earns 5 Honors

FRISCO, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men’s tennis team came away with five awards in the 2026 Southland Conference All-Conference honors, with Ethan Dasset highlighting it with being tabbed Newcomer of the Year, released by the league office Friday. Dasset swept the awards himself, earning All-Conference First Team recognition at both No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles alongside partner Josef Zapletal to go with the superlative. Etienne Marty was also distinguished as an All-Conference First Team selection at No. 3 singles, while the pairing of Matthieu Coignet / Mikel Garmendia earned Second Team honors at No. 1 doubles.…
