Men’s Tennis: Eagles Finish as PacWest Runners-Up

SURPRISE, Ariz.---The Biola men's tennis team fell 4–0 to top-seeded and nationally ranked No. 27 Azusa Pacific in the PacWest Championship match on Friday morning. The Eagles battled in doubles play and nearly claimed the opening point. After Azusa Pacific took court two, Adam Large and Keyon Gahvarehchi responded with a 7–5 win on court three to even doubles play. The point came down to court one, where Alejandro Flores Monteverde and Angel Guerrero Melgar pushed their opponents to a tiebreak before falling 8-6, giving the Cougars a 1–0 lead heading into singles.
