Cowboys Go Down 4-3 At ETBU

COPPELL, Texas – Hardin-Simmons’ Cowboy tennis team went down 4-3 to East Texas Baptist on Saturday afternoon playing at Coppell high school in American Southwest Conference play. Payne Smith and Gabriel Harris won the first doubles match 7-6 (7-5) and Phoenix Davis and Jameson Sorrell won 6-3 at three doubles to earn the doubles point for Hardin-Simmons. Smith won again in the ace singles match 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) playing Black. Harris went on to win a split 7-5, 4-6, 10-5 in the third singles match.
