GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State broke open a tight game with an explosive late surge, scoring eight runs over the final two innings to defeat Prairie View A&M 12-2 on Friday night in the series opener at Wilbert Ellis Field at R.W.E. Jones Park. With the win, Grambling State improved to 12-24 overall and 9-7 in the SWAC. Prairie View A&M fell to 7-29 and 3-13 in conference.
