Lancers Fall to Winthrop on Senior Day, 8-6

FARMVILLE, Va. — The Longwood softball team’s comeback attempt fell short Saturday against Winthrop in an 8-6 loss at Bank of the James Park on senior day. Winthrop scored three runs in the third inning and three more in the fourth, building a 6-0 lead before Longwood rallied for four in the bottom of the fifth to cut into the lead.
