GRAMBLING, La. — Southern University dropped a hard-fought Southwestern Athletic Conference contest, falling 2-1 to Grambling on Saturday morning at the GSU Softball Complex. Southern (29-13, 15-6 SWAC) outhit Grambling (14-25, 5-15) 6-3 but couldn't capitalize on key opportunities, leaving seven runners on base in the one-run loss.
