Lumberjacks Lose Close Doubleheader to McNeese Cowgirls

LAKE CHARLES, La.- The Stephen F. Austin softball team wrapped their series against the McNeese Cowgirls with a Saturday afternoon doubleheader. Game 1: McNeese 11, SFA 10 SFA got the scoring started early when Morgan Wright reached on a fielder’s choice which scored Jamie Varga from third. Adelyn Becerra scored from second after a throwing error by the McNeese pitcher, 2-0. McNeese took the lead in the bottom of the second with four runs, 4-2.
