Grinnell softball team drops 2 close games at UW-Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Grinnell College’s softball team stepped out of league play Sunday, putting up a good fight at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville before losing 3-2 and 6-3. Emma Skibbie ’29 put together a strong pitching performance in the opener, holding the hosts to eight hits and striking out two. Grinnell managed four hits itself, those coming from Lindsey Schultz ’27, Kayla O’Malley ’28, Leanna Guerra ’28 and Skibbie.
