Hanson and Bruns Finish Runner-up In Decathlon and Steeplechase at Meet of Champions

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Luther men’s track and field team was at the Meet of Champions hosted by Augustana College (IL) Friday, April 17 through Saturday, April 18. No team scores were kept at the meet and for the first time this season a meet was able to finish without being shortened by spring weather. Jared Hanson finished as the runner-up in the decathlon with 5873 points which ranks seventh all-time. Jacob Bruns also was a runner-up in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:31.67.
