Late Inning Surge Lifts Troy Past Georgia Southern 4-2
STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern Eagles (19-26, 6-12 SBC) lost a 4-2 decision to the Troy Trojans (28-17, 8-10 SBC) on Sunday, despite jumping out to an early lead and matching Troy with seven hits on the day. The Eagles struck first in the opening inning. After Kayla Christensen reached and advanced into scoring position, Delanie Thames brought her home with an RBI groundout.
