No. 8 Women’s Tennis Sweeps NEWMAC Weekly Awards

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – For the second time this season, No. 8 MIT swept the NEWMAC Women’s Tennis weekly awards. Saina Deshpande collected her second Singles Athlete of the Week selection of the year while the duo of Alaina Kolli and Artemis Pados were tabbed for Doubles Team of the Week honors for the second straight week. In a 2-0 week for the Engineers, Deshpande clinched both matches from the No. 1 singles position. Last Tuesday in a 7-0 win against Salve Regina University, she recorded a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
