Plata Receives WCC Pitcher of the Week Accolade

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Redshirt junior Garret Plata earned Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. Plata, a native of San Jose, California, pitched six shutout innings in Sunday’s 7-1 win over Santa Clara, leading to a series sweep over the Broncos and the first WCC sweep of the season for the Tigers.
