Shafer Named SLC Hitter of the Week

THIBODAUX, La. – Nicholls State University outfielder Greyson Shafer was named Southland Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week the league office announced on Monday afternoon. Shafer had an outstanding week at the plate as he posted a .421 batting average while having eight hits including three doubles and three home runs. He also generated nine RBI and scored seven times. In Saturday's victory, the Boise, Idaho native had three hits and five RBI highlighted by a grand slam.
