Manning Breaks 75-Year-Old Long Jump Record at Haverford Midweek

HAVERFORD, PA. – The Swarthmore College men’s track & field team had a pair of student-athletes earn first-place finishes at the Haverford MidWeek Meet on Tuesday. Archer Manning made history, besting Dick Hall’s 75-year-old record in the long jump. The junior recorded a best distance of 7.02m to edge out the Swarthmore legend by a quarter of an inch.
