Baseball splits doubleheader with Hardin-Simmons

ABILENE, Texas — The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team went 1-1 against Hardin-Simmons Friday afternoon. This split moved the Cru’s record to 24-15 on the season with a 5-6 mark in league action, while the Cowboys moved to 23-14 (6-5). Jacob Newland opened the scoring in game one with an RBI double to left center, scoring Riley Bender, who reached on a double of his own to get the Cru out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning.
