STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern Eagles (20-28, 7-13 SBC) used a clutch fourth inning and strong pitching down the stretch to secure a 3-2 win over the App State Mountaineers (28-18, 7-13 SBC) on Senior Day. App State jumped out to an early lead in the first inning, taking advantage of a defensive miscue and an RBI single to go up 2-0.
