Narrow 4-3 Semifinal Loss Caps Breakthrough Season for Oakland Women’s Tennis

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Oakland University women’s tennis team concluded its season after a hard-fought 4-3 loss to Cleveland State in the semifinals of the 2026 Horizon League Championship on Saturday afternoon. In doubles play, Oakland grabbed an early lead. Sophomore Nisa Bulut and senior Tara Montreuil earned a 6-4 win on the No. 3 court, followed by juniors Edie Hammond and Emilia Jarvinen, who secured another 6-4 victory on the No. 1 court.
