Women’s Track & Field Sits in Third After First Day of UAA Championships
CLEVELAND, Ohio- The University of Chicago women’s track and field team kicked off the first day at the UAA Championships with an individual championship and 15 top 10 finishes. The Maroons are currently sitting in third place, sitting only 23 points behind first place. The lone win of the day for UChicago came from Marina Semple in the long jump. The senior became a UAA Champion, jumping 5.76 meters to capture the title. Her distance put her with a new top 10 time on the season in all of DIII.
