Highlanders Fall to Roadrunners in Final Game of Series

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — UC Riverside closed out its weekend series at CSU Bakersfield on Sunday with a 5-1 setback at the Roadrunner Softball Complex. The Highlanders (6-35, 4-20 Big West) collected five hits in the contest, with Aubrey Marx, Trendee Kahunahana, Leilani Juan and Arianna Saldivar accounting for four of them. Saldivar finished 2 for 3, while Kahunahana scored the Highlanders' lone run. UC Riverside broke through in the fifth inning. Kahunahana singled to left and Jackie Alday was hit by a pitch before Juan lined an RBI single to center, bringing home Kahunahana to trim the deficit to 4-1....
