Elmbarki Named Track Athlete of the Week

ALBANY, N.Y. - The University at Albany men's track and field's Jed Elmbarki was named the Track Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. A redshirt-junior from Gafsa, Tunisia, Jed Elmbarki competed in two events at the 130th Penn Relays Carnival (Apr. 23-25). He started his week with a personal record in the 3000m steeplechase (8:51.19). Just three seconds away from the UAlbany program record, he is currently ranked 36th in the NCAA East with the conference's best time.
