BERKELEY, Calif.. — The California baseball team split its season series with UC Davis falling to the Aggies 6-1 Wednesday night at Stu Gordon Stadium. The Golden Bears (23-21) looked great out of the gates with freshman Tanner Grove putting together a fantastic performance in his first collegiate start. The right-hander struck out the side in the first, getting all three batters swinging. Catcher Hideki Prather put the Bears on top immediately with a lead-off home run, his ninth of the season.
