Oakridge puts down the hammer in softball doubleheader sweep over Manistee

LocalSportsJournal.com MANISTEE – Oakridge put on a clinic in Tuesday afternoon’s girls softball doubleheader with Manistee, bringing out the brooms in a dominating 25-2 and 16-0 sweep of the Mariners. The Eagles torpedoed the Mariners early in Game 1 with a 13-run first inning and kept their foot on the gas. Oakridge scored 12 runs on five hits in the bottom of the second. Rebecca Medendorp collected three hits and drove in five runs to pace the Eagles offensive attack.
