Alcoa football's Jamir Dean has committed to Penn State, he announced on his X account on May 1. Dean, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound junior wide receiver selected Penn State over Power Four conference offers from schools like Arkansas, Mississippi State, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin. He's a three-star prospect and the No. 18 overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite. Dean was a second-team PrepXtra receiver in 2025 and the Region 2-4A offensive specialist of the year.
