AREA BASEBALL PLAYOFFS: Hudson wins Game 1 over Bridge City 2-0

Hudson scored runs in each of the second and third innings and Ceylan Williams pitched six scoreless innings to lead the Hornets to a 2-0 win over Bridge City in Game 1 of a best-of-three Class 4A Division II bi-district series Thursday in Jasper. Williams, who was approaching the 110-pitch limit, allowed a leadoff double in the top of the seventh and Cayne Powers was brought in to close out the game.
