Hofstra Posts Big Win Over Towson To Open Series

Hempstead, NY – CJ Griggs went 4-5 with two doubles, one triple, and the walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Hofstra posted a 12-1 CAA victory over Towson Friday at University Field. Pitcher Carlos Martinez turned in another fantastic start, allowing one run on five hits over 6 ⅓ innings. Hofstra moved to 16-23 on the season overall and 10-12 in league play with the win.
