Minnesota Falls 5-1 in Series Opener at Northwestern
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Northwestern Wildcats proved to be too much for Minnesota on Friday afternoon, as the Golden Gophers fell 5-1 in the opening game of the three-game series. Natalie Susa (1-8) got the ball to start for Minnesota (15-34, 6-16 B1G) and took the loss. Macy Richardson was a bright spot for the Golden Gophers, coming out of the bullpen and throwing three innings, giving up three runs on six hits while striking out one.
