Softball Lady Comets Top Granite City
The Greenville High School varsity softball girls overwhelmed Granite City on the road Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Comets posted a 17-2 victory. The winners accumulated 14 hits in the contest. Zoee Englert had three base hits. Credited with two hits apiece were Emma Bingham, Ava Potthast, Haylee Clark and Clare Glisson. Potthast was the winning pitcher, striking out seven.
