Strong Start in San Marcos as Distance and Field Events Boost the Wildcats
SAN MARCOS, Calif. — Chico State’s women’s track & field team sits atop the team standings after day one of the 2026 CCAA Championships, totaling 52 points through four scored events. The Wildcats were powered by a dominant showing in the 10,000 meters, where Chico State placed four runners in the top four positions. Iresh Molina claimed the conference title in 36:16.67, followed closely by Megan Malloy (36:17.68) and Kira Forsberg (36:22.07) to complete the sweep of the top three spots.
