Leatherneck Baseball Takes Series Opener with 9-3 Win Over UT Martin

MACOMB, Ill.- Western Illinois opened its series against UT Martin with a strong performance Friday afternoon, defeating the Skyhawks 9-3 at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium. The Leathernecks improved to 16-28 overall and 8-11 in league play with the win. UT Martin struck first in the top of the opening inning, but Western Illinois answered immediately in the bottom half.
