Men’s Golf Alone in Second Entering Final Day at HCAC Championships
Franklin men’s golf entered day two of the HCAC Championships in a second-place tie, trailing only 17th-ranked Transylvania. The Grizzlies weren’t able to make up ground on the first-place Pioneers on Saturday at Boone’s Trace, but they did enough to gain some separation from the rest of the field. A second-round team total of 295 (7 over par) enabled them to secure sole possession of the runner-up spot, 12 strokes up on Rose-Hulman and 16 ahead of Anderson. At 604 heading into Sunday’s third and final round, the Grizzlies are 27 strokes behind Transy but well positioned against everyone else.…
