Vermett Tabbed GLIAC Pitcher of the Week After Historic Milestone

BAY CITY, Mich. – Parkside softball sophomore pitcher Casey Jo Vermett has been named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday. Vermett was nearly untouchable in the circle during Parkside's final week of the regular season, tossing 13 consecutive scoreless innings across two starts against Roosevelt. She finished the week with two complete-game shutouts, allowing just 4 total hits while striking out 25 batters and holding opponents to a .095 batting average.
