Softball Falls in E8 Opening Round to Sage

ALBANY, NY – The Utica University softball team battled back from an early deficit on Tuesday afternoon, but the Pioneers ultimately fell to Russell Sage College, 7-6, in walk-off fashion in the opening round of the Empire 8 Championship Tournament. Utica’s offense was led by Kari Graziano (Kinderhook, NY/Ichabod Crane), who finished 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, while Meghan Paul (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland) added two hits and scored twice.
