Lakers Punch Ticket to NCAA Nationals After Defeating Davenport Saturday

ALLENDALE - The Grand Valley State women's tennis team punched their ticket to the NCAA Division II National Championships after defeating Davenport 4-0 Saturday (May 9) afternoon. GVSU improves to 18-1 on the season and will travel to Surprise, Arizona for the sweet 16 round at the NCAA National Championships. The Lakers claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and and No. 3 doubles. Rachel Sam and Amanda Diaz tallied a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
