NCAA: Pios Defeat Messiah In Regional Opener

WINCHESTER, Va. — Transylvania University baseball opened NCAA Regional play with an 8-6 victory over Messiah University Friday afternoon at Bridgeforth Stadium. The Pioneers moved to 30-12 overall after overcoming an early 3-0 deficit with eight unanswered runs across the fourth and fifth innings. Transylvania plated four runs in the fourth inning, taking advantage of a Messiah error while also getting RBI contributions from Trevor Watkins, Kaden Ford and Seita Shiratori.
