Women’s Track & Field Moves Up at the MEAC Outdoor Championships
NORFOLK, Va. (May 15, 2026) – Howard University women’s track & field team moved up one slot after Day Two of the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Outdoor Championships in Norfolk, Va. Currently, the Bison sit in third place after registering 49 points. Sophomore Kinnidi Hampton (Rowlette, Texas) and Temi Banwo (Allen, Texas) led the charge, securing silver (13.13 meters) and bronze (12.83 meters), respectively, in the shot put. The duo also competed in the hammer throw with Hampton taking second (48.51 meters) and Banwo claiming third (48.12 meters).
