Novak Wins ACC Title in 3000m Steeplechase on Day 2 of ACC Championships
LOUISVILLE, Ky.— Notre Dame ended the second day of the 2026 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in grand fashion as Sophie Novak won the 3000m Steeplechase. Novak won the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:34.46. Novak earns first-team All-ACC honors and claims the first individual ACC title for the Irish of the 2026 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Lake Orion native still holds the fastest 3000m steeplechase time in the country, with a time of 9:24.95, which she set back in mid-April.
