Softball: Three Red Dragons Earn Softball All-Region Honors

Three members of the SUNY Cortland softball team have been selected to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Region Three all-region team. Senior catcher Shelby LaMont (Amsterdam) was named to the all-region first team, while freshman pitcher Olivia DiSalvo (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) and sophomore designated player/catcher Laila Smith (Guilderland) were chosen to the second team. LaMont started 39 games this season between catcher and designated player and led the Red Dragons with a .405 batting average, three homers, 16 doubles, 43 RBI and a .603 slugging percentage.
