Redlands Softball drops super regional opener, 5-3, at Texas Lutheran

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Redlands softball team (41-6) dropped game one of the Texas Lutheran University (TLU) Super Regional, 5-3, as they were unable to take advantage of their 13 hits. TLU opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first before Avery Provenzano collected an RBI on a fielder’s choice in the top of the second. In the next half inning TLU reclaimed the lead on a fielder’s choice and a second sacrifice fly of the game. In the third they made it 4-1 with an RBI ground out as all five runs…
